On March 27th, the Third Expanded Meeting of the 7th Council of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and the Fifth Executive Council of the 7th Council were held in Shanghai. Duan Xiaoping, Vice President of China Textile manufacturing Federation, presided over the opening ceremony of "A Brief History of China's Chemical Fiber".
At the meeting, Xu Kunyuan, former vice president of the China Textile manufacturing Federation, Chen Xinwei, president of the China Chemical Fiber Association, Zheng Weiliang, chairman of the China Textile Publishing House, Chen Wenxing, academician of the Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, He Yanli, former vice president of the China Chemical Fiber Association, and Song Deshun, general manager of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. jointly launched and witnessed the launching ceremony of the Brief History of Chemical Fiber in China.
It is reported that "A Brief History of Chinese Chemical Fibers" is published and distributed by China Textile Publishing House Co., Ltd. It is a national key book publishing planning project for the 14th Five Year Plan. This book is also a key book published by China Textile Publishing House Co., Ltd. on the occasion of celebrating its 70th anniversary. Du Yuzhou, former president of China Textile manufacturing Federation, inscribed the title of the book, Xu Kunyuan, former vice minister of the Ministry of Textile manufacturing and former president of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, Jiang Shicheng, academician of the CAE Member, and Shao Changjin, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd., prefaced the book.

From the initial idea of publishing a book in September 2019, to organizing expert seminars, collecting historical materials, and establishing an editorial committee, it took nearly three years. Over the past 70 years, the development history of China's chemical fiber industry, major events in various sub industries, fruitful achievements in key fields, the development history of important enterprises, and various honors and awards won by numerous projects and talents in the industry have all been reproduced in this book with detailed information and statistical data.
For the original intention of writing "A Brief History of Chinese Chemical Fibers", Zheng Junlin, Vice President of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, said: Over the past 70 years, China's chemical fiber industry has gone through a magnificent process of struggle.
